- 2 rode paprika’s
- 1 kleine ui
- 15 gram verse basilicum
- 150 gram spaghetti
- 1 eetlepel olie
- 75 gram blanke amandelen
- 75 gram roomkaas
- 1/2 deciliter melk
- vers gemalen zeezout en peper
Bereidingswijze
Breng in een waterkoker 11/2 liter water aan de kook. Schil de paprika’s meteen dunschiller. Halveer ze, verwijder steel en zaadlijsten. Maak het uitjeschoon. Pluk 12 basilicumblaadjes af. Leg de helft op elkaar en snijd ze inreepjes. Zet de spaghetti in een kookpan. Schenk het kokende water er op enbreng het water opnieuw aan de kook. Laat de spaghetti in het kookwater glijden.
Kook de spaghetti gaar volgens de aanwijzingen op de verpakking. Laat despaghetti in een zeef kort uitlekken. Schep de spaghetti terug in de pan om metde olie. Hak de paprika’s met het uitje, de rest van het basilicum (blad enstelen), de met de staafmixer tot een korrelige massa. Schep de massa in eensteelpan met dikke bodem, roer de roomkaas en de melk erbij en verwarm hetmengsel al roerend tot tegen de kook aan. Breng de saus pittig op smaak mettabasco, zout en peper. Roer de garnalen erbij. Verwarm de saus goed door, zodatde garnalen warm worden.
Verdeel de spaghetti over twee diepe borden. Schep de paprikagarnalensaus erop. Strooi de basilicumreepjes er over.
